![]() ![]() The new bounties confirm that the Straw Hat Pirates have evolved a lot during the Wano Arc, and they are now recognized as one of the most powerful groups in the world. Knowing how much Oda loves foreshadowing, this will probably have some relevance in the future. The most interesting detail is in Franky's wanted poster, which has replaced the shipwright's picture with one of the Thousand Sunny, for unexplained reasons. Chopper was happy to see his bounty finally increased, but the amount is still absolutely ridiculous, as the World Government still thinks of him as the crew's pet (but also as their doctor, weirdly enough). Usopp is terrified as usual of his big bounty, because he is afraid that dangerous individuals will want to collect him, a feeling he shares with Nami. Sanji did not manage to overtake Zoro this time either, and he even sees himself pushed down to "number four", as the swordsman does not miss a chance to remind him. Of course, Eiichiro Oda did not miss this chance to play gags with the crew's new bounties, as is always the case. Chopper's pathetic bounty increased from 100 to 1000 Berry. Poor Chopper, however, despite being now officially recognized as the ship's doctor, still has a ridiculous bounty. Franky, Brook, and Nami have very close bounties among themselves, at 394, 383, and 366 million respectively. Nico Robin also had a huge increase in her bounty, clocking in at 930 million now, while "God" Usopp reached an impressive 500 million. The big surprise is that Jinbe overcame Sanji as number three of the crew, with 1,100,000,000, while the blonde-haired cook is still barely above the billion, with "just" 1,032,000,000. Zoro is confirmed as the second-highest bounty in the crew, with 1,111,000,000 Berry. Fans were then eagerly waiting for the updated bounties of the other Straw Hat Pirates, and they were not disappointed. Luffy's new bounty was already revealed a few chapters earlier when it was announced that he is one of the new Yonko, the Emperors of the Sea. However, fans use these numbers to keep track of the progress that Luffy and the Straw Hats are making in the world, and the moment when the new bounties are released after the end of a story arc is always welcomed with big excitement. Bounties technically refer to an individual's "level of threat" as often the World Government considers them to be dangerous for various reasons, including knowledge of forbidden lore, as is the case with Nico Robin, who has had a huge bounty on her head since she was a baby. Bounties have been used since the beginning of One Piece to assess how much a pirate is considered dangerous by the Marines and the World Government, and as such, they are an indicator of a pirate crew's strength.
